Presented by Tallowdale Music and Filmworks Media in partnership with the Manning Winter Festival, musicians of the highest calibre will present an outstanding program to celebrate the premiere of the film set to a musical composition by Manning-raised composer Jonathan Billingham.
Jonathan's composition From Hidden Valleys to the Open Sea was commissioned by the Manning Winter Festival in 2016 to capture the beauty and magic of the valley.
Taree businessman Graham Brown had a vision to see the music From Hidden Valleys as a film to help promote the valley.
"The funding for the film came about through some conversations with Graham, beginning at its premiere," said Jonathan.
"Graham is a committee member of the The Entertainment Centre of the Manning Valley Incorporated.

"They saw the opportunity to create a film to synchronise with my musical composition, From Hidden Valleys to the Open Sea and asked whether I would collaborate with people in the film industry to use drones and cameras aboard boats, to capture the journey from Barrington Tops, via Gloucester and Taree down to the ocean. That is what my music seeks to evoke, so it was an easy fit.
"Since then I have been collaborating with Tom Bishop (the film's director of photography and post-production) of Film Works Media, to capture that journey."
The film gives the viewer a bird's eye view journeying over Barrington Tops and Lansdowne Escarpment, through rugged gullies, past forests and flood plains all the way to the open sea.
Performing as part of the concert are violinist, Bora Kim, who is touring from North America, alongside Australian artists Samuel Dharma (piano), George Yang (cello) and Carol Irving (clarinet), who will play music by Liszt, Rachmaninov and Tchaikovsky.
"The opportunity for people in the Manning to hear Bora Kim in particular cannot be understated," said Jonathan.
"She is an amazing violinist with an amazing violin. As a winner of the Canada Council's 2018 Instrument Bank Competition, Bora was awarded the three-year loan of a 1747 Januarius Gagliano violin."
The concert and film premiere at the Manning Entertainment Centre will be followed by light refreshments in the foyer. This landmark event will be presented at the Manning Entertainment Centre at 2pm, Saturday July 27 and Gloucester Soldiers Club at 2pm, Sunday July 28.
