Distinguished guests representing Lions International along with local dignitaries made it a very special evening, as did the many members and partners present.
Lions club member Brian Plummer performed brilliantly as the MC for the evening.
Lions district governor David Emanuel said it was a great pleasure to attend the dinner and was honoured to induct the 2018-2019 board and officers, acknowledging new president Christine Soorley and her team.
He congratulated the club for all the work they did within the community and Lions' foundations.
The club is proud to announce total donations this year of $66,000.
Mayor David West was very complimentary, stating he felt Forster Tuncurry Lions were indeed a very successful and respected club in the community and one he held in high esteem.
Stephen Bromhead congratulated Forster Tuncurry Lions Club for their efforts over the year to raise such a phenomenal amount.
Dr David Gillespie paid compliment to the efforts and success of Forster Tuncurry Lions Club.
Alex Walichnowski from Stockland Forster stated it had been an absolute pleasure to work with former president John Soorley and was looking forward to further association with the club.
The club's publicity officer Margaret Kentwell wished to extend a big thank you to all the local businesses who contributed towards the evening.
"Our club would not be as successful if it weren't for the cooperation and support of our business community," she said.
