The new Lake View Gallery, has been established in partnership between Pacific Palms Art Inc and Pacific Palms Recreation Club.
The new gallery space will give local artists the opportunity to exhibit large artworks, while supporting creative arts projects at Pacific Palms Public School.
Pacific Palms Art Inc, which is responsible for co-ordinating the highly successful, Pacific Palms Art Festival, came up with the concept as a means of supporting local artists on an ongoing basis.
Lake View Gallery exhibition curator, Cathie Garrod said the Palms Art committee wanted to create exhibition opportunities outside of the annual art festival.
"While the June long weekend art festival is a great event, we realised there were few places where artists could display large art on an ongoing basis,'' Ms Garrod said.

"By partnering with Pacific Palms Recreation Club, we were able to provide the ideal venue for rotational exhibitions."
Pacific Palms Art Inc has established a website where local artists can log on and submit applications to exhibit their work at the club.
Selected artworks will be rotated every six to eight weeks, with commissions benefiting creative arts programs at Pacific Palms Public School.
The official opening of the new Lake View Gallery will take place this Sunday, July 7 at 4pm.
Everyone is welcome to attend and entry is free.
