With the promise of falls keen snow chasers once again made the voyage up to Barrington - and they were not disappointed.
Reports from the Barrington Tops Snow Chasers Facebook page showed that Polblue received a generous dusting - more than the first snow fall back on May 10.
According to page administrator, Steven Oliver the mercury sat at minus two degrees around 8am this morning Tuesday, June 4.
"From what I can tell there were light snow showers last night between 10pm and midnight," Steven said.
And as a result, it has left a couple of centimetres of settled snow.
"It's just started snowing up there again now (9.20am) so if the temperature stays the way it is there could be a good snowfall today, and it should still be on the ground tomorrow," he said.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts more snow across Tuesday falling above 800 metres with temperature only expected to reach two degrees.
Snow is expected to continue tomorrow, June 5 falling above 1500 metres with light rains predicted.
Temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of four degrees and a low of zero.
Around the Great Lakes residents woke to a chilly morning with the mercury dropping to seven degrees along the coast and six further inland.
Along the coast the bureau has predicted a windy day with an 80 per cent chance of showers and a top temperature of 17 degrees.
Further inland the chilly top of 12 degrees will be accompanied by thunderstorms.
