The Hawks will host unbeaten Macleay Valley in week three on Sunday. In the opening round Forster upset Wingham before going down to Port City 26-22 at Port in the following week.
Coach Phil Adamson said the goal is to make Tuncurry a graveyard for visiting sides. If the Hawks can achieve this goal they'll be well on the way to making the end-of-season games
"If we win all our matches at home, we only have to win a couple away and we're in the semis,'' Adamson reasoned.
Adamson added the Hawks will be at full strength for Sunday although he will check on second rower Luke Ross, who hopes to play his first game of the season after recovering from a hamstring strain.
"He ran alright at training the other night, so he should be fine,'' Adamson said.
Ross has been named on the bench.
Centre Beau Lowry has completed suspension and will partner Chris Simon in the midfield, with Ben Murray moving to fullback.
Adamson added the Hawks are progressing soundly.
"We were probably a bit unlucky in the game against Port City,'' he said.
"A couple of long range tries to Clint Walker proved the difference, without them we would have won pretty easily.
That said, Adamson concedes the undefeated Mustangs will be Forster's most formidable opponent to date.
"They've won two from two, so they're doing something right,'' he pointed out.
"I'd say they'll try to play a lot of second phase, so we'll have to shut that down. And obviously they have players who can score a try out of nothing.''
The game will also be a special milestone for veteran front rower Chris Coulton, who plays his 150th match for the Hawks.
"He is a Hawks legend,'' club president Justan Buttigieg said.
"Hope we can get a win for you mate,'' centre Chris 'Backo' Simon added.
