According to a press release from MidCoast Council, locals are being encouraged to 'join the conversation' at the series of local community workshops.
This is a different format to the community meetings we have held in the past, council say.
"We are looking to have a conversation to understand what is most important in your community."
This will take the form of a facilitated workshop which will provide participants with the opportunity to identify the things that matter to them in their communities.
There will also be an opportunity to those who come along to ask questions and be updated on local projects.
"We hope this is the start of an exchange of information that will ultimately see us working together with local communities to achieve more."
Workshops will be facilitated by council staff to ensure everyone has a chance to share their concerns, ask questions, or table ideas for what they would like to see council doing in their area.
To ensure key issues for each community can be addressed, locals are encouraged to register a question or specific area of interest before the workshop in their area.
This can be done by visiting local community conversations on the MidCoast Council website.
Each facilitated session is expected to run for around two hours and will include tea and coffee.
RSVPs are not required.
The Bulahdelah session will be held on Wednesday, May 1 from 6pm at the School of Arts Hall.
