This follows the success of the inaugural gala held at Old Bar for the under 12, 14 and 16 age divisions.
Most clubs fielded teams in the three age groups.
Port Breakers won the 12s, Port Sharks the 14s and Forster in the 16s and all games were played in the right spirit, according to group three president Warren Blissett.
"The girls' game has come along in leaps and bounds over the last 12 months and registrations are up across the group," he said.
"We started last year with 14s and 16s and now we've added the 12s age group and the crowds flock to watch the girls in action.
"Skill levels were extremely high and full credit must go to the coaches and the clubs for promoting the game and giving the girls an opportunity.''
"The future of the league tag comp is looking very bright after seeing the way the clubs embraced the gala,'' group three official Jarred Woodhouse said.
The teams will now prepare for the opening round on Friday April 26.
