On Wednesday, March 20, BCS held their 2019 cross country carnival.
Rain threatened a few days prior and it made for an interesting track on the day for all participants and added a few 'water jumps'.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) also organised a 'Crazy Hair Day' and raised money for the Leukaemia Foundation.
On Tuesday, March 26, the BCS primary cricket team played Tea Gardens Public School at Tea Gardens in the second round of the PSSA knockout competition.
BCS captain, Blake Matheson, won the toss and chose to field first.
Tea Gardens batters held their own on the field, but BCS's fielding was too strong with five catches taken.
The best bowler on the day was Isaac Redman, with 5 for 6 from three overs.
The BCS boys bowled out Tea Gardens for only 45 runs.
In the run chase, Bulahdelah were 1 for 46.
Opening batters Henry O'Connell and Charlie Matheson proved to be an outstanding partnership, racking up 33 runs between them.
Overall the team was happy with the win and the sportsmanship shown by both teams.
The school band recently attended the Cedar Wharf Lodge Nursing Home and performed for the residents.
This year the school band was reformed under the direction of BCS's music teacher, Wendy Parsons.
Considering the school band had only been practising since early in the term, and many students had limited musical experience, they performed to a high standard.
