Speakers appearing at the annual feminist festival, All About Women, at the Sydney Opera House on March 10 will be satellite streamed into the Taree Library.
Three headline sessions and an exclusive backstage Q and A will be shown live.
Curated by Dr Edwina Throsby, Head of Talks and Ideas at Sydney Opera House, this year’s All About Women is all about looking forward.
“So often we get stuck thinking about the same old problems in the same way, but this festival seeks out new voices, new perspectives and new arguments, to consider how feminism is evolving for all people, from all backgrounds, all over the world,” said Edwina.
All About Women features emerging new voices from around the world speaking to future directions in feminism.
This annual feminist festival is designed to make you think and ask questions about gender, justice and equality.
It offers talks and discussions with a cast of international and local writers, politicians, activists and storytellers exploring ideas that matter to women.
Streaming at Taree library kicks off at 12.45pm on Sunday, March 10.
Tickets are free but bookings are essential. Book at midcoastlibraries.com.au/events.
With the support of Westpac, the event will be streamed across Australia and also allows it to be Auslan interpreted and captioned.
