Liam Worth, 23, of Old Bar created the photo of Forster Ocean Baths over a period of eight hours from midday into night on a summer evening.
Liam says the work is inspired by photographer, Stephen Wilkes who created the 'Day to Night' series, and he chose the "iconic Forster Ocean Baths because it's a place where people go to swim and relax from dawn to dusk."
"Families connect and share, people who don’t know each other start conversations,” Liam said.
It’s a shared spot for locals and tourists and also a place where people go to celebrate happy occasions. The place can resonate with fun, laughter and endless summer days.

"I wanted to capture the comings and goings of all the people that come to enjoy the Forster Ocean Baths at all the different times throughout an afternoon.”
The theme of the photo exhibition is ‘Coming together to Connect, Share, Speak out and Celebrate’, and council is inviting young people to contribute up to four images that capture all or part of the theme. Submissions will close at 11pm on Sunday, March 17 and will then be displayed at Manning Regional Art Gallery from April 3 to 14.
The inaugural exhibition in 2018 attracted work from 32 young photographers and MidCoast Council’s community strengthening officer, Russell Ingram, is hoping to see an increase in participation this year.
Liam is building a career in the region as a freelance photographer and chose to use a Nikon D810 with a Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 lens for the photo “to give me as much sharpness and clarity as possible.”
“An image was taken every minute over the eight hour period. From the hundreds of images that were taken at the time only a certain number were used … then they were imported into Photoshop, layered and masked to achieve the final result. The editing of the final image took about two weeks.”
