Cape Hawke and Black Head surf life saving clubs will receive more than $100,000 State government funding to help revamp facilities.

Black Head has received $70,391 to refurbish its kitchen and disability toilets while Cape Hawke will use its $30,000 to install a sun shelfter and safety surfaces at the club.
Funding was part of the 2018-19 Surf Club Facility program which this financial year will allocate $3.9 million to 24 projects to improve facilities and equipment throughout the State.
“Surf Life Saving NSW does immensely important work- saving lives and providing opportunities for people of all ages to get fit and healthy,” Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead said.
“The aim of this program is to increase the availability, standard and quality of surf lifesaving clubs in NSW for the benefit of their members and the wider community,” he said.
“I congratulate Black Head and Cape Hawke surf life saving clubs on their successful applications and look forward to seeing the benefits of this upgrade.
“It gives me great pleasure to assist local Surf Clubs as they provide a vital service to our community.”
