More than 380 kindergarten to Year 6 students took part in the fun event, the school’s major fund-raiser for 2018.
Students embraced the spirit of the event, starting off in clean, white clothing and completing the event multi-coloured from head to toe, Tuncurry Public School community engagement officer, Tina Whitfield said.
Much of the $13,200 plus raised during the event would be channelled back into the school for education needs for the students, she said.
Tina gave a shout-out to the P&C, which organised the event, describing the volunteers as fantastic.
One of the Australia’s most popular fund-raisers, more than 800 schools from throughout the country took part in School Run4Fun Colour Explosion in 2017.
According to the School Run4Fun Colour Explosion website: “We put big smiles on over 200,000 students”.
