Tuncurry Forster Jockey Club’s Christmas Party race day provided ample opportunities for Newcastle trainer Kris Lees to celebrate.

Lees had seven runners on the day, with four picking up wins.
The day kicked off with the Sunrise Village Tuncurry Maiden Handicap, where Lees' Miss Powerbelle held off David Atkins’ Hildalgo to win.
From there he claimed wins in the Great Lakes Advocate Benchmark 66 Handicap with I Am Awesome, Great Lakes Nissan Maiden Plate with Azarmin and Lobby’s Fresh Seafood and Takeaway Class 2 Handicap with Tycoon Street.
He also bagged second in the Hunter East Coast 4x4 Class 1 Handicap with Heredero, third in the Class 2 Handicap with More Chilli and fourth with Crowd Surfer in the Rezzie Better Home Living Forster 4YO and Up Maiden Handicap.
Andrew Gibbons and apprentice jockey Louise Day rode two winners on the day.
More than 1000 patrons were on hand for the last day of the Tuncurry racing calendar.
With the club’s new irrigation system in place, many jockeys and trainers complimented the quality of the track.
The club thanked all sponsors for their support of the race day.
The next meeting will be on Saturday, January 19 for the Seafood Race day.
