During the past term, Year 9 and 10 students have been getting down and dirty in the garden creating and revamping a number of flower and vegetable gardens on the grounds of the South Street premises.
The project was part of the Tuncurry campus’s community engagement program.
“We are trying to build positive relationships and help students achieved their goals,” Alesco College welfare officer, Tamara Davis said.
On Friday, November 30 the green thumbs acquired by the students was applauded and celebrated with a barbecue lunch
“The barbecue was to celebrate the hard work of the students and thank the people who helped them.”
