Police are piecing together what led to the virtual shut-down of streets in the Forster-Tuncurry CBD as they pursued a stolen vehicle this afternoon, November 19.

According to duty officer, Alan Fidock two females allegedly stole a Toyota Hilux utility from Tea Gardens, driving along the Pacific Highway at high speed through Failford to Forster-Tuncurry.
According to one witness, some streets were shut down – including the Forster-Tuncurry bridge – as police attempted to stop the vehicle.
The pursuit ended at Head Street, Forster with the arrest of the two females.
Reaching speeds of up to 100km/hour, police chased the vehicle along MacIntosh and Wharf streets.
