After being given notice last month to vacate the Boona Street, Forster storage facility by November 23, the committee sent out an urgent plea via local newspaper and radio sources.
The not-for-profit group was beginning to get desperate until MidCoast Council stepped in offering the vacant baby health centre building for rent.
Council has given the group a 12 month lease and reduced the rent by 90 per cent, a delighted president, Deidre Stokes said.
“We have now relocated our loan equipment to the new premises and are very grateful for the assistance given to us by Leonie Cook at MidCoast Council,” Mrs Stokes said.
