The Remembrance Day ceremony was held to commemorate 100 years since the signing of the First World War Armistice on November 11.
Members of the Manning Valley Pipes and Drums groups played Battle’s O’er, joining hundreds of others across Australia and around the world, and a minute of silence was held at 11am.
Young and old, the community crowded into the park together to pay their respects and remember.
“This Remembrance Day is significant for all of us,” Forster-Tuncurry RSL Sub Branch secretary, Graham Kernick explained.
“We owe them all a lot, and at the 100 year anniversary it is important people spare a minute to pay their respects to the immense sacrifice these people made.”
