“They got together to anti-graffiti the war memorials in Tuncurry and Forster,” BCS principal, Deb Gilbert explained.
“We had a fantastic day and were very honoured to have the RSL secretary, Graeme Kernick check out our work.”
The group painted four war memorials across the Great Lakes region to protect them from future graffiti vandalism.
“Again, it was a fantastic event,” Ted said.
“These kids are just fantastic, they get so into the work and it’s great to see them embrace the project and step up to make a difference in our community.
“As a community we have done a great job in reporting and removing graffiti, so this year our focus was on preventing it, and we chose to start with our most important and sacred property, our war memorials.”
