This money will be used by the Forster Tuncurry division of Legacy in supporting the welfare of widows and children of deceased and incapacitated ex-servicemen residing in this area.
The local Legacy division wishes to say a special thank you to all those who purchased a badge, bear, pen or contributed by donation during this annual Legacy Appeals Week.
Legacy also thanks those members of the Forster Tuncurry Legacy Laurel Club, Wallis Lake RSL Day Club, Great Lakes Vietnam Veterans and Partners, Rotary Club, Lions Club, Forster Tuncurry and Great Lakes Evening View Clubs and a number of private and ex-service individuals who assisted local Legacy members during the week.
Another special group were the thirteen students from Great Lakes College Tuncurry Campus who walked through local shopping centres, industrial areas and medical centres selling badges, bears and pens.
Legacy thanks all the students and the school for their support.
Many thanks also to John and Kylie at Beach Street Seafoods for donating lunch vouchers for the students.
Legacy also wishes to thank all the businesses, shopping centres, Clubs and hotels for their wonderful support.
Once again Forster Tuncurry Legacy thanks you, the people of the Great Lakes, for your generosity.
