Great Lakes Evening VIEW Club’s monthly dinner meetings are still very well attended, averaging 65-75 members all working together, having fun and raising funds for the Smith Family who, in turn, assist in the education of under privileged children.

Tuesday, August 21, saw about 30 of our members descend on Marie Pole’s home for a soup and damper day.
Lots of tea, coffee and of course, scones, jam and cream plus cupcakes were on offer, and that was before lunch!
Some of the ladies were busy during the day, knitting the white ribbon pieces to donate to the police force for their stand against domestic violence.
Many thanks to Marie for the use of her home.
Our dinner meeting in August was a trivia Night, again, a lot of fun was had alongside testing out the memory bank.
Christine Manger, one of our members, also happens to be the national zone councillor for our area, and organised a very successful zone gala conference for 145 people at Taree on September 8.
Ten members of Great Lakes Evening VIEW attended on the day and enjoyed listening to and asking questions of the very special guest speaker, Helen Richey.
Another great day!
Forty members enjoyed lunch at the Bellevue Hotel on Thursday, September 20, while some continued on to the movies as well.
Our international dinner meeting held on Monday, September 24 was a big hit.
The zone annual church service is planned for Saturday, October 27, followed by our birthday and Christmas dinner meeting on Monday, November 26.
The theme of this event will be ‘Çruising for Christmas.’
VIEW stands for the voice, interests and education of women.
This organisation is a great way to meet and make new friends and having fun at the same time whilst raising funds to support the Smith Family.
If you are interested in becoming a member of our VIEW club, feel free to come along to a dinner meeting, held on the fourth Monday of the month at the Sporties at 6pm.
Just make yourself known at the door where you will be welcomed.
