
A Failford man was charged in relation to a crash that left a motorcycle rider critically injured near Wauchope earlier this year.
The crash happened at about 11.15am on Monday, July 16 where a southbound four-wheel-drive utility and a northbound motorcycle collided in the northbound lanes of King Creek Road at King Creek.
The 25-year-old motorcyclist from Sancrox sustained critical spinal injuries and remains in Royal North Shore Hospital.
The 55-year-old male driver of the ute escaped injury.
The Mid North Coast Crash Investigation Unit conducted inquiries and on Thursday, August 30 served the older man with a court attendance notice for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and negligent driving causing grievous bodily harm.
The man’s licence was suspended.
He will appear in Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday, October 24.
