
The weekend weather will be on the ‘topsy turvy’ side with spring-like temperatures on the last day of winter dropping to winter temperatures on the first day of spring.
Along the coast, temperatures will top out at 22 degrees on a mostly sunny Friday and a sunny Saturday, followed by possible showers and a chillier 17 degrees on Sunday.
Overnight temperatures will fall to nine degrees on Friday, 11 on Saturday and back to nine degrees on Sunday.
Away from the coast, Friday will top out at 23 degrees followed by a late shower, Saturday will be a mostly sunny day and 23, while showers are predicted on Sunday and a top of 16 degrees.
During the night, the mercury will fall to seven degrees on Friday, 11 on Saturday and eight on Sunday.
The highest daily rainfall for Forster-Tuncurry fell on Monday, August 27 when four millimetres was recorded in the rain gauge bringing the monthly total to 9.4mm.
