I find it astonishing that this wetlands doesn't have to be fenced off, as everything from an outdoor spa bath to a swimming pool needs to be fenced off under council regulations.
Apparently children can drown in a pool but not in the wetlands.
Just in case the council hasn't noticed there happens to be a school 200 metres down the road.
I guess this is just another example of the hypocrisy of government authorities.
