The Rotary Club of Great Lakes has presented donations to Philip Sutcliff from the Salvation Army, Rhiannon Curtis from Ronald McDonald House and Maureen Turner from Riding for the Disabled (RDA).

The Salvation Army provides lunch one day a week, 40 weeks a year to 80 or 90 people.
The Great Lakes Rotary donation will help fund lunches for one year.
Also, the Salvation Army in association with Coles and other businesses collected unsold excess food and distributes it to disadvantaged people.
Tuncurry is one of the most disadvantaged communities in the state.
The Ronald McDonald house cabins at Forster are used at a 90 per cent occupancy rate.
The cabins are over 11 years old and therefore are starting to show wear and tear.
There will also be an office built on the same grounds as the cabins and this will very beneficial to all.
Also they plan to build a sensory herb garden on site .
The RDA provides riding lessons for children and adults with many types of disabilities.
Riding can help with spinal problems and there have been some wonderful reports of how riding for the disabled has helped physically and psychologically.
The Great Lakes Rotary donation will assist in feeding and caring for the horses.
