Author, artist and filmmaker Michael Rubbo will visit Halliday Point and Taree libraries this month to speak about his experiences travelling and painting, captured in his book, 'Travels with my Art'.
"Michael Rubbo will lead us on a journey encompassing film making, landscape painting, travelling and writing, covering the creative process across these mediums in one talk,” council's manager of library services, Chris Jones said.
After a career spanning 40 years as a filmmaker creating documentaries and features, Michael decided to step outside of the cutting room and into nature.
'Travels with my Art' tells the story of Michael's journey as he paints in the great outdoors in Canada, Finland and Australia.
Michael will be talking at Hallidays Point Library on Monday, August 27 from 2-3pm and on Tuesday, August 28 at Taree Library from 10.30-11.30am.
The events are free, but bookings are essential.
