Areas from all over the state attended the meet, including swimmers who qualified for State titles in various strokes.
“This is a good winter competition for our swimmers from our area,” SNC publicity officer, Faye Rowles said.
“The bus started from Banora Point and travelled down the area, picking up 28 swimmers from 14 different clubs.”
This year, SNC swimmers won the overall point score, the first year this has happened.
“Obviously our young swimmers coming through the development program have really made the difference,” Fay added.
Forster’s Emily Rowell placed 17th in the 50m freestyle and fourth in the 100m backstroke.
Well done to all the swimmers, coaches and managers on the touring squad.
