While the weather was sometimes cold and wet, events were hot with the team in the thick of it.
From 12 events entered the team made it through the rounds to seven finals appearances.
As usual, the girls led from the front with Beth Lee and Keely Quinn earning a bronze medal in the female tube rescue.
The female teams only just missed the podium coming home in fourth place with Elisabeth Fletcher-Jones having the best drive of her career to finish the race off.
After a few team changes due to injury and misadventure, the open men's team of ‘old hand’ Brad Verdich and ‘new boy’ Jack Wood made it through to the rescue final, an achievement by itself.
They managed to finish a valiant seventh.
The 35 and over managed seventh in the mass rescue, fifth in both the tube rescue and teams rescue and a stunning second in the rescue event.
The race was a highlight, with driver Brad Verdich finally content with a performance while crew Simon Lee was just happy to be in the boat when it left the beach.
Overall the team placed eighth from the 24 clubs that took part.
Training continues as the Australian IRB Championships will be held at Thirroul in two weeks.
