MidCoast Council’s Water Services crews have taken quick action as the Tuncurry area is currently experiencing multiple water mains breaks.
These breaks are resulting in various areas being without water for periods of time, water services director, Brendan Guiney said.
“Our crews have been working around the clock to restore water as quickly as possible and an engineering investigation is underway to determine the root cause of the problem,” he said.
To assist with having services restored, the team at MidCoast Water Services is encouraging customers to let them know – by calling 1300 133 455 – if they are experiencing water issues.
“We want to ensure we are identifying and actively working on all current breaks, so we do ask for the community’s support in letting us know when they are having problems.”
Please check the MidCoast Water Services website at www,midcoastwater.com.au for up-to-date details of the particular areas impacted and times water services are expected to resume.
The YMCA at Forster is providing services for members of the community who have had their water services affected and have been unable to use bathroom facilities.
“Please be assured we are working hard to restore services and to keep our community updated, while a larger investigation is underway to determine the cause of the issue.”
