Day-time temperatures will begin to fall from today’s high of 20 degrees along the coast and 19 degrees further inland to a chilly 15 and 14 degrees on Sunday.
Saturday’s temperatures will range from 18-17 degrees.
But, it’s during the night when the reality of winter sets in with temperatures along the coast plunging to single figures with a range of 9-7 degrees, while in rural Great Lakes, the mercury dives from 6-7 degrees.
The coldest temperature for 2018 was Thursday, June 14 when overnight the mercury fell to a nippy seven degrees in Forster.
This month in Forster 66.3mm of rain has fallen into the gauge over seven days; 35mm of that fell on the month’s wettest day, June 6.
Showers were predicted to return on Tuesday following a pleasant, sunny weekend.
