Great Lakes Pearl Dragons celebrated the end of the season in style when they joined forces with Nambucca River Dragons at the Flamin' Dragons dragon boat regatta in Port Macquarie on June 9 and 10.

The Pearls and Nambucca have developed a special relationship and enjoy the opportunity to paddle together.

The crew entered three events and came away with two trophies after they secured second in the women's 200 metre final and third in the mixed 200 metre final.

The forthcoming 2018-2019 season will be big for the Pearls as it will be their 10th anniversary year.

As part of the celebrations, the club will compete at the Wellington Dragon Boat Festival in New Zealand in March next year.

Meanwhile, the club invited those interested in trying out dragon boating to come along on Saturday, July 7 for a "have a go" morning.
