Debbie, sister of Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney in the trilogy), is on a mission to pull off an epic heist once she throws of the shackles (literally) of prison. She knows what it’s going to take to steal a $150 million necklace during the Met Gala In New York City, and recruits a team of the best in their field.
One of these is her partner in crime Lou Miller (Australia’s Cate Blanchett in a very different role). Together they gather specialists jeweler Amita (Mindy Kaling), street con Constance (Awkwafina), suburban mum Tammy (Sarah Paulson), hacker Nine Ball (Rihanna), and fashion designer Rose (Helena Bonham Carter).
The action is fast and funny, especially Anne Hathaway’s turn as Hollywood celebrity Daphne Kluger, who vacillates between victim and co-conspirator.
