Dressing the part: The Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival is on again and includes a family fun day on Saturday at Central Park, Wingham.
All weekend
- Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival, various locations in Wingham. Friday includes poets breakfast, bus tour, shortbread baking competition, shop window display judging, 9 hole clash of the clans community reception and Scottish fun night. Saturday is the family fun day, including street parade (9.30am), opening ceremony, highland games, pipe bands, best dressed Scottish theme dog competition and the grand Scottish ball. Sunday includes thanksgiving service, barbecue breakfast, luncheon and concert.
- Artexpress at the Manning Regional Art Gallery, Macquarie Street, Taree. Outstanding works by Higher School Certificate Visual Arts students from schools in NSW. Entry free.
- Artist in residence, The Wall Project – 'Traversing the Inner Landscape by Vicki White, Manning Regional Art Gallery. Concludes this Sunday.
- Bucketts Way group of primary schools exhibition at Gloucester Gallery, Denison Street, Gloucester. Entry free.
- Talk to the Animals display at Taree Craft Centre, Manning River Drive, Taree, 9.30am to 3.30pm.
- Having Fun with Succulents Exhibition, 9.30am to 3.30pm at Taree Craft Centre, Pulteney Street, Taree. proceeds to Taree PCYC.
- Youth Art Exhibition, Saturday and Sunday, at Pacific Palms Public School, Boomerang Beach. Awards presentation 2pm Saturday. Entry adults $2, children free.
- Dollys Flat Studio winter warming open weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 4pm to 8pm, demonstrating wood firing ceramics. The studio, belonging to artist Steve Williams, is at 317 Kardinia Road, Dollys Flat.
- The Other Side Art Cafe exhibitions, The Tree of Equalitea by Suzette Winten (example of in situ yarnbombing), and Camera to Canvas exhibition featuring work of Joshua Sgarano and Wendie Patch. 10am to 4pm Friday to Sunday.
Friday
- Wingham Cup, from 11am, at Taree Wingham Racecourse, Bushland Drive, Taree, includes the new Corey Brown Cup. The first of eight races starts at noon and the last at 4.20pm. Entry to racecourse adults $6, Pensioners $4.
- Official opening of the Manning Winter Festival, 6pm to 8pm at the Manning Regional Art Gallery, Macquarie Street, Taree. Night includes presentation of the biennial "Manning Winter Festival Visual and Performing Arts Awards". Tickets $20 available at Bass'n’Blues, Taree.
- Upper Lansdowne Players tour – Last Tango in Gloucester and Last Panto In Gloucester, doors open 6pm to be seated 6.30pm, at Gloucester Citizens Centre, Hume Street, Gloucester. Tickets available at Gloucester Health Foods or to book call 6558 2622.
- TOTs Tours for under 5s, 11.15am to noon, Manning Regional Art Gallery, Macquarie Street, Taree.
- Storytime - Hallidays Point Library, 10.30am to 11.30am, Village Shopping Centre, Hallidays Point.

Saturday
- Taree Artists Walk, 10am, leaving from outside Newcastle Permanent at Taree Central. A display of work by Taree Artists members at various businesses in Taree. Display continues until June 12.
- Upper Lansdowne Players tour – Last Tango in Killabakh and Last Panto in Killabakh, at Killabakh Hall, Comboyne Road. Doors open 6.30pm for seating at 7pm. Tickets $20, must book, call Carol Saul on 6550 5792.
- PCYC Youth Showcase, 6.30pm to 9pm at PCYC Taree, Commerce Street. PCYC fundraiser and 30th anniversary celebration. Talented youth to perform and artworks on show. Tickets $35 for general admission and $50 for VIP tables. Call 6551 0292 to book.
- Bulahdelah Markets, 8am to 1pm, Visitor Information Centre grounds, Bulahdelah.
- Tea Gardens Genuine Farmers Market, 8am to 1pm, Anzac Park, Tea Gardens.

- Filippa Buttitta - portrait workshop, 10am to 2pm, at Manning Regional Art Gallery. Cost $95. Not for beginners.
Sunday
- Music for the Winter Heart choral concert, 2pm at St John’s Anglican Church, Taree, featuring choristers from Kantabile, U3A Silvertones, Manning Valley Choral Society performing Schubert's Mass in G Major and other choral music. Supported by Sinfonia. Tickets $20 adults, $15 concession and under 12 years free.
- Upper Lansdowne Players tour – Last Tango in Tinonee and Last Panto in Tinonee at Tinonee Memorial School of Arts Hall. Doors open 2pm for 3pm start. Tickets $28 available from Tinonee Historical Society’s Museum, phone 6553 1751 or contact Jenny on 6553 1245.
