Books and more: The Taree North Rotary Club's annual Monster Easter Book Fair is on again this weekend.
The Taree North Rotary Club Easter Book Fair will be held Friday 8am to 3pm, Saturday 8am to 3pm and Sunday 9am to 12pm, at Taree Showground.
There are thousands of books for both adults and children, including numerous sports, handyman, cooking and gardening books, fiction and non fiction books, magazines, DVDs, CDs, records and even jigsaw puzzles.
All funds raised at the book fair are used to support Rotary projects and community groups in the Manning.
Over the weekend
- Taree Aquatic Powerboat Club’s Easter Classic on the Manning River. Main competition on Saturday and Sunday with scrutineering on Friday. Juniors at 8.30am Saturday and main races from 10am. Sunday starts at 10am, plus there’s an hour of power from noon, starting with a 10 minute Paul Bennet Airshow.
- Taree Golf Club’s Easter Open, Good Friday is the men’s and mixed four ball and Easter Saturday is the individual stableford competitions for both men and women’s golfers. Held at Taree golf course, Club Taree.
- Tea Gardens Public School P&C Easter weekend’s 41st annual Art and Craft Expo, Witt Street, Tea Gardens. from 9am-4pm Friday-Sunday, and 9am-1pm Monday, April 2 Website:www.teagardens-p.schools.nsw.edu.au/paint-thetown-read.
- The 26th annual Open Art Exhibition continues throughout the Easter long-weekend until art exhibition Sunday, April 8 at the Great Lakes Art Gallery, Lake Street, Forster. Website:www.glas.org.au. Open daily from 10am - 4pm daily and entry is free.

- Taree Greyhounds, 12 race meet, first race at 1.20pm, at the Kanangra Drive track in Taree.

- Gloucester Community Market, 8.30am to 2pm, Billabong Park, Gloucester.
