The 80-year-old has been airlifted to hospital via the Tamworth helicopter after the Newcastle service had already been at the scene.

She’s reported to have chest and pelvic injuries as a result of the accident and is in a stable condition.

Newcastle Westpac Rescue Helicopter is currently flying a 19-year-old woman with a head injury to John Hunter Hospital after a two car vehicle accident on the Bucketts Way at Bakers Creek earlier this morning (Wednesday, March 14).

A second patient, believed to be a woman, was taken by ambulance to Gloucester Soldiers' Memorial Hospital where the Tamworth helicopter’s clinical team assisted in treatment.

A third person was taken to Gloucester hospital by ambulance also reportedly with minor injuries no details available.

The father of one of the injured women was at the scene of the accident and indicated that his daughter was okay.

Police and emergency services are working together at the scene of the accident located just east of Bakers Creek Road on the Bucketts Way, east of Gloucester.

The road has been closed between Wallanbah Road and Belbora Creek Road since early Wednesday morning. MidCoast Council staff have been assisting with diverting traffic around the area.

Police said its unclear how long the road will remained closed.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been called to the two car motor vehicle accident near at Bakers Creek. 

Motorists are urged to avoid the area as the road is closed between Bakers Creek Road and Belbora Creek Road.

Emergency services are on the scene and MidCoast Council road staff are assisting with traffic diversion.
