When it comes to thinking about what the MidCoast might be like by 2030, the possibilities are endless. And that’s exactly why the team at MidCoast Council are looking for your input as they develop a blueprint to guide the direction of our region into the future.
Whether it’s retaining our regional influence, investing in our roads or improving our sports facilities… everyone has an opinion when it comes to creating a wish list of priorities for how the MidCoast should evolve into the future.
Now’s your chance to influence what will ultimately become the delivery program MidCoast Council will follow over the next decade. And it will only take you 60 seconds to tell them what’s important to you.
“There are a number of ways for people across the community to tell us what they think of the draft Community Strategic Plan we’ve prepared, either online, in writing or in person. But acknowledging that not everyone has time on their hands, we’ve added a short survey that takes about a minute to complete,” Sarah Wilkinson, MidCoast Council’s community development co-ordinator said.
The short survey asks just three questions and aims to capture the views and priorities of a broad cross-section of the 92,000 people who make up the MidCoast community.
“We’re a diverse population, so we want to make sure everyone’s priorities are considered in our plan for the future,” Ms Wilkinson said.
“This is a long-term plan, and we need our community to speak up now so we can deliver on their needs and vision for the region”.

For those who aren’t online or prefer to provide input in writing, hard copy surveys are available at MidCoast Council’s offices and libraries, and feedback is welcomed via post.
“It’s a really exciting time to be part of a conversation with council that will help shape the future of the region. Everyone’s feedback is valuable, no matter how out of the box. The sky really is the limit,” Ms Wilksinson said.
