Based on the sexually explicit trilogy erotic romance novels of E.L. James, the final installment – Fifty Shades Freed, follows the events of the first two.
Returning to Seattle after a long honeymoon in Europe, newlyweds Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) bask in their spousal bliss, believing they have left behind the shadowy figures of their past.
So, when over-protective Christian leaves for a business trip to New York, Ana sneaks out for a drink with her longtime friend, Kate Kavanagh (Eloise Mumford). When she returns home, her former boss Jack Hyde (Eric Johnson) unconscious inside. Finding duct tape in his pocket suggests Jack had intended to kidnap Ana so he is arrested.
When Christian’s abusive ex, Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger) returns, and Christian’s sister Mia (Rita Ora) is kidnapped, it seems Ana and Christian’s life of wedded bliss is under threat.
