Dilemma: Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep star The Post, which follows the story of Streep's publisher character's dilemma as to whether to print US government classified material about the war in Vietnam.

Set in the early 1970’s, we find The Washington Post is struggling to match the journalist prowess of The New York Times, being beat to the scoop time and time again.

Being the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, Katharine Graham (Meryl Streep), with help from editor Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks), is desperate for a big story to turn things around for The Post when the Pentagon Papers  – top secret documents swiped by a whistleblower that detail the government’s private and deceptive pessimism about the Vietnam War, literally fall into The Post’s lap.

Suddenly The Post is sitting on hundreds of pages of sensitive documents. Together Graham and Bradlee must overcome their differences as they risk their careers and freedom to help bring long buried truths to light by exposing the massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades.

Also stars: Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, Matthew Rhys, Carrie Coon, Alison Brie and David Cross.
