At approximately 1.15pm, Tuesday, December 12 a silver grey Mazda 3 sedan smashed, bonnet first into LJ Hooker’s shop front.
Emergency personnel, including ambulance, police and fire brigade officers were on the scene.
At the time, personnel were not authorised to speak with the Great Lakes Advocate, and LJ Hooker staff did not want to comment.
But, it is believed no-one was seriously injured, and the woman taken to hospital was a staff member.
Despite extensive wreckage and debris inside the office – which included the glass front panel being completely removed, shattered glass and busted furniture – there appeared little external damage to the vehicle.
The accident attracted a handful of curious on-lookers, many questioning how the vehicle drove into the building.
