Elected president at the group’s annual meeting, Mr Tickle will head a committee formed from a group of more than 800 people from the Mid Coast area.
The following people constitute the group’s committee: Eddie Wood, vice-president; Carmel Bartlett, secretary; Helen Halpin, treasurer; Peter Johansen, assistant secretary; David Keegan, Trish Wood, Stacey Collins and Don McInnis.

In announcing the committee, Dr Keegan and Helen Halpin were named as members of the Australian Labor Party.
At the meeting Dr Keegan “acknowledged the leadership and determination of Mr Tickle to lead the community push for better resourcing of Manning Hospital.”
“There were some less than successful past attempts to form advocacy groups, but the leadership and the momentum of this committee has really been significant in getting the message across that increased public health services are needed,” Dr Keegan said.
