The southern most team in the Lower Mid North Coast Competition, the Mud Crabs have had a challenging start to the 2017 season, with injuries, travel and player shortages at the last game against the Forster Tuncurry Dolphins.
Despite these challenges, the Mud Crabs have carved out a strong presence on the rugby field and currently sit in third place on the ladder for the Lower Mid North Coast Competition.
The Wallamba Bulls have been celebrating their self-proclaimed Year of the Bull to mark their 10 years in the competition.
After a strong start to the season, the Bulls are sitting at the top of the competition ladder with just over half of the season completed.
The wet weather of the last week promises to present challenges to both teams although the muddy field may very well suit the Mudcrabs although a break in the weather will almost certainly improve the Bulls prospects at the Bull Pen when the game gets underway at 3pm (subject to any field closures decided by Council which will be announced on the Wallamba Bulls Facebook page on Friday.
In other games this weekend, The Manning River Ratz host the Old Bar Clams and the Gloucester
Cockies host the Forster-Tuncurry Dolphins.
