Gloucester’s very first Bucketts Chilli Eating Competition was a burning success raising Loot for Toot.
Held as part of the Smokin’ It Wild Card One Dish Cook-off at The Roundabout Inn on Saturday, November 12, the $5 entry fee, plus raffles money and donations were collected for Tallulah ‘Toot’ Nixon to help with her ongoing treatment for Leukemia.
The chilli eating organisers and owners of Australian Extreme Chilli Condiments,Rob and Rachel Dunn presented Toot and her family with a cheque for $1110.70.
The whole event attracted a combination of locals and travelers; some coming to smoke meat and others to eat chillis.
Winners of the chilli eating:
- Ist Ron Bowser from Wamuran, QLD
- 2nd Kenneth Wamsley from Gloucester.
- 3rd place Preston Gowing from Forster.
There seven teams in the smoking competition, vying for a place in the invitation only Just Smokin @ The Roundabout Inn competition held in May 2017.

- 2nd Aussie Pit Boys
- 3rd Lucifer’s Kitchen boys
Next fundraiser for Toot is Tootapalooza, a music festival being held at The Fox Den on Sunday, November 20.
