“From our early beginnings in 1986, when our equipment was stored in a toilet block at Elizabeth Beach, to the first class clubhouse that now exists, our volunteer lifesavers have been protecting the public on our beaches with no loss of life occurring between the flags during that time,” Pat Powell said.
“Our lifesavers have also participated in many after hours rescues at surrounding beaches, with numerous lives being saved by their prompt actions.”
All members past and present are invited to join the celebrations at a cocktail party this Saturday evening (October 22).
Tickets are $20/head and details are on our website pacificpalmsslsc.org.au or phone Pat on 0437 373 029.
