About the Great Lakes Women’s Shelter
THE Forster Neighbourhood Centre (FNC) recognised an urgent need for crisis accommodation within the Forster-Tuncurry area.
FNC worked with Women’s Community Shelters to make the Great Lakes Women’s Shelter a reality.
The Great Lakes Women’s Shelter opened in January 2016 and has been full ever since, helping homeless women and their children in the Forster-Tuncurry region.
The shelter has also been able to secure housing for some of these women and often remain in contact, due to a relationship formed by trust.
You can donate to the Great Lakes Women’s Shelter appeal here:
Donations can also be made on a monthly basis.
