Overnight NSW Rural Fire Service crews established a number of backburns around the village of Green Point and along The Lakes Way.
These backburns have now linked up with the main fire front however pockets of the 78-hectare fire continue to burn inside containment lines.
Today crews will continue to strengthen these containment lines and black out and mop up. Smoke and fire may still be visible as small areas of bush continue to burn.
The Lakes Way and Green Point Drive are open to traffic however the public are advised to slow down if driving in the area as firefighters will be working from the roadside
