Braith carried the English flag for the first innings and then the Australian flag for the second innings.
“It was a great honour and a once in a life time experience,” Braith said.
“What an experience it was, I was so lucky.”
The opportunity arose from a competition held by Cricket Australia, where entrants had to name their favourite female cricket player and explain why in 25 words.
Braith chose Ellyse Perry because she is such a talented sportswoman and has represented Australia in both cricket and soccer.
“It was a fantastic opportunity,” Braith’s father Andrew said.
“He was so excited to have the chance to be a part of the event, he loved it, had an absolute ball.”
