Not to be put off the Wallamba Bulls Women’s 7s Rugby competition will host a skills and drills session this Tuesday, October 31 at Nabiac Cricket Ground from 6pm.
Wallamba Bulls head coach Lee Sullivan has arranged for NSW Rugby Union North Coast development officer Tom Davidson to attend and lead a training session that will focus not only on the skills needed for the 7s game but also general fitness and developing a strong comraderie amongst the players and teams that will take to the paddock in the inaugural Lower Mid North Coast Woman’s 7s Rugby competition.
Lee Sullivan would like to encourage players from all teams to make their way to Nabiac for the 90 minute session that will kick off promptly at 6pm.
“Ultimately, we want to build a strong competition for 2018 and beyond and part of that is organising workshops like this, where players can try out the game and see if it is a fit for them.”
Tom will bring a wealth of knowledge to the session having had a strong career in rugby, including as Sydney University captain.
Since taking on the role as the North Coast Rugby Union development officer, Tom has overseen an exciting explosion in the 7s format and in particular woman taking up the sport in large numbers.
The 2018 competition will feature players aged from 16 plus and this training session is open to all players and potential players from any team.
