During the games week, which stretches from Monday, October 30 until Saturday, November 4 libraries will provide a broad range of board game favourites – like Scrabble and Yatzee – for everyone to enjoy.
Not only is it a great opportunity to bring out your competitive side, but locals can also take part in the inaugural MidCoast Libraries inter-branch puzzle off.
“The aim of International Games Week is to reconnect communities through libraries around the educational, recreational, and social value of all types of games”, MidCoast Libraries events officer, Danielle Donnelly said.
Due to its proven popularity, this will be the third year that MidCoast Libraries is taking part in International Games Week.
“It’s a fun week and it’s suitable for the whole family,” she said.
International Games Week is an international initiative supported by the American Library Association, the Australian Library and Information Association, Nordic Game Day and L’Associazione Italiana Biblioteche.
