Among the tougher exams was Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE), which was held on October 19.
Sam Whitbread is one student who was pleasantly surprised by the content of the exam.
“It wasn’t as hard as I was expecting which was nice,” he said.
“My mum is the head PDHPE teacher here, so there was a bit of extra pressure, she has been helpful with my study.”
The three week exam period can prove quite stressful for a lot of students, but it’s not the only priority on Sam’s plate.
“I’m travelling up to play representative cricket in Coffs Harbour this weekend,” he said.
“The timing is a bit inconvenient, but I will be ok.”
School captain Wednesday Bannerman was glad to be out of the exam room, and is already looking ahead to her other upcoming exams.
“The first two hours went quite quickly, but the last hour was really slow,” she said.
“You never want to leave early, because you can always do a bit more work, and maybe do a bit better.”
After months of hard work and study, these exams are the last hurdle for Year 12 students.
