Guests were greeted with champagne and canapes, followed by plates of cheese and antipasti when they arrived at a fundraising event for Alzheimer's Australia earlier this month.

Held on October 7, 108 people attended the event, hosted by Priceline Pharmacy Forster and co-sponsored by local business operators.
Alzheimer’s Australia and Priceline Sisterhood Foundation patron, Ita Buttrose delivered a special message followed by talks from guest speakers Alzheimer’s Australia local representative Alison Fowles, geriatrician, Dr Saytha Nookala and Forster coupe Marie and John Keep.
Marie is John’s wife and carer; her husband is both blind and has early onset dementia.
Priceline has The Sisterhood Foundation and Alzheimer's Australia is one of our foundations we support, organiser, Narelle Hodges said.
Keen to promote the Dementia Friendly Communities initiative in the Great Lakes and with a connection to the condition through family members living with dementia, Narelle was more than happy to support the organisation.
“Through donations from our generous community we had a raffle and auction on the night and we have gone on to raise $14,886.”
The auction was conducted by MC Jeremy Thornton from Insurance Advisernet Taree.
Formalities were followed by a dessert buffet and entertainment from local band, Hump Daay.
