The man was a passenger in the Holden Commodore which struck a tree.
The driver has yet to be located and spoken to.

Investigations are underway following a fatal single vehicle crash at Bulahdelah Sunday morning, October 15.
About 6am, emergency services were called to Wootton Way, Bulahdelah, following reports a passer-by saw a Holden Commodore had struck a tree.
The male passenger in the Holden, aged in his 20s to 30s, died at the scene and was yet to be formally identified.
Officers from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command attended and have established a crime scene.
Officers from the Newcastle and Kempsey Crash Investigation Unit will be investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
